Fastest setup: npx @posthog/wizard mcp add — writes the config straight into Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code and other clients. Endpoint https://mcp.posthog.com/mcp, Streamable HTTP transport. Auth: a PostHog personal API key (Settings → Personal API Keys).
Capabilities
Connecting and ordinary tool calls are free: HogQL queries against project data, enabling and configuring feature flags straight from a prompt, working with experiments, error tracking and stack-trace triage without leaving the editor, access to session replay, dashboards and insights, help triaging support tickets, configuring CDP destinations.
